Born in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. He is a native of this Town. Studied art at the Maximilien de Meuron academy in Neuchâtel (art high school) and at the art school in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Pupil, apprentice and associate of graphic designer and decorator Abel Rejchland (1938-2009).
